Ironman Nice - 22nd June 2008
Cirencester master craftsman Stephen Barton will be undertaking a gruelling event which will take him to the limits of

physical endurance to help raise funds for the wrolds first mobile Chemotherapy Unit Cancer Charity - Hope for Tomorrow.
Location: Nice, France
Climate: Hot and Dry 26 – 30 Degrees C
The Course:
1st: 2.4mile SEA swim
2nd: 112mile Mountainous bike ride
3rd: 26.2mile Run (Marathon)
The conditions of the Ironman will be testing as there is the
notoriously rough sea swim which is much harder than a
lake swim. The bike is in the Mountains of Nice and the
climate will play a big factor at soaring temperatures of
about 26ºC to 30ºC.
